Privacy Policy
Studio Puyoh (“we”) makes Pawnzzle, a chess puzzle game for iPhone. This policy explains what personal information Pawnzzle collects, why, who helps us handle it, how long we keep it and how you can control it. We don’t show ads, we don’t sell or share your personal information, and we don’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
What we collect

We get this information from you, from Apple or Google when you sign in, and from the App Store when you buy something. Settings such as Sound, Haptics and Reduce motion stay on your device.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, our legal bases are: our contract with you (running the game and your account, delivering purchases, answering support), our legitimate interests (keeping play fair and secure, improving puzzle difficulty) and legal obligations (keeping purchase records).

Your data reaches these companies over encrypted connections when you play or contact us, and is kept for the periods below. If you are in the EEA or the UK, transfers to the United States rely on safeguards such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses in these providers’ data processing terms. We give your information to anyone else only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Until you delete your account. When you request deletion, your account, game data, profile and friends are erased within 7 days of your request.
- One exception: when your account is deleted, finished puzzle tries (puzzle, moves, time, result) aren’t erased. We cut their link to your account so no one can tell they were yours, and keep them for puzzle difficulty statistics. Unfinished tries are erased.
- After you delete your account, purchase records are kept for 5 years from the purchase, as required for e-commerce records, then deleted.
- Database backups roll off after 7 days.
- Support emails are kept until your question is answered, and at most 3 years.
Deleted data is erased from our database so it can’t be recovered. We don’t keep paper records.
How we protect it
- Data travels over encrypted connections, and our providers encrypt it at rest.
- Database access rules limit each account to its own data and to what friends are meant to see.
- Changes to game data go only through server functions that check each request. Admin keys never ship in the app.
Your choices and rights
- Change your display name and avatar color in the Profile tab.
- Delete your account in the app: Settings › Account › Delete account. Once processed, deletion can’t be undone; signing in again before then doesn’t cancel it — to cancel, email us. Sign in with Apple access is revoked when you request it.
- Ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your data, or object to how we use it: [email protected]. We’ll reply within 10 days.
- If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office.
- If you are in California: we don’t sell or share your personal information, and we won’t treat you differently for using your rights.
Cookies and tracking
The app doesn’t use cookies, advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics or tracking tools.
Children
Pawnzzle is not directed at children under 14. If you think a child under 14 has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app for important changes.
